Anritsu and Trescal extend their Calibration and Repair offering to Spain and Portugal

Anritsu Corporation, a global provider of innovative test and measurement solutions for advanced and converged networks, is pleased to announce the expansion of its partnership with Trescal in Spain and Portugal. In additional to their existing services, Trescal will now also be providing calibration and repair services for Anritsu Handheld RF products up to 18.5 GHz. This will be available through their network of labs through- out the region.

As a key element of the partnership, Anritsu will also be extending the supporting activities they provide to Trescal to ensure the highest quality of service and support for Anritsu products is offered to customers. TRESCAL ACQUIRES TWO COMPANIES IN SPAIN AND CANADA

Trescal announces the acquisitions of Calibración de analizadores de gas SL. (Calgas), a calibration services provider based in Madrid (Spain) and of Industrial Systech Ltd (ISL) in Toronto (Canada). These acquisitions have been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 2003, Calgas delivers the most complete span of ENAC accredited calibration services for gas analyzers together with accredited gas flow. Calgas employs 10 people, generating a turnover of 600K€ and is active in the ICT(Inspection, Certification and Test), Oil & Gas and Food & Beverages sectors. This is the fourth acquisition in Spain since 2014 and it expands Trescal’s accreditation technical scope to the calibration of gas analysers.

Founded in 1991 and based in Toronto, ISL is a ANAB accredited calibration laboratory specializing in temperature, heat temperature in particular, according to the AMS 2750E standard for the aerospace industry and in pressure. ISL also manufactures and sells bespoke thermocouples. ISL employs 3 people, generating a turnover of 1,0 m CAD and is active in the Aerospace, Automotive and Energy sectors. This is the 3rd acquisition in Canada since 2016.

TRESCAL ACQUIRES TECLABOR SERVICES S.L. IN BRAZIL

Trescal announces the acquisition of Teclabor Ltda., a calibration services provider based in Recife (Brazil). This is the third acquisition in Brazil, expanding Trescal’s geographical footprint to the State of Pernambuco. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, Trescal’s majority shareholder.

Founded in 1985, Teclabor is an accredited one-stop-shop calibration laboratory, with strong capabilities in liquid flow, volume, mass (scales), temperature and humidity domains. Teclabor employ 30 people, generating a turnover of 3,3 million Brazilian Reais (~1,0 m€), being predominantly active in the Food & Beverages sector.

This acquisition is the twenty-fifth acquisition since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.

Trescal acquires A+ Métrologie, a subsidiary of the Apave Group

Trescal today announces the acquisition of A+ Métrologie, a subsidiary of the Apave Group, a major player on the French test and measurement market.
 

Founded in 2000, A+ Métrologie has 14 multi-disciplined calibration laboratories spread across France employing 320 people (of which 250 engineers and technicians) and achieved a turnover of € 27 million in 2016.

This acquisition will allow customers of both companies, Trescal and A+ Métrologie, to benefit from many complementary features: broader offer of accredited calibration services, more extensive measurement capabilities and a greater geographical coverage.

 

This acquisition was carried out with the support of ARDIAN, an independent private investment company and majority shareholder of the Trescal Group. It is the 24th acquisition since ARDIAN ownership in July 2013.

TRESCAL ACQUIRES PYROMETRO SERVICES (M) SDN BHD IN MALAYSIA

Trescal announces the acquisition of Pyrometro Services (M) Sdn Bhd (Pyrometro), a calibration services provider based in Malaysia. This first step in Malaysia expands Trescal’s geographical footprint and technical coverage in South East Asia. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 1992 in Kuala Lumpur, Pyrometro is a Malaysian one-stop-shop calibration company comprising four accredited laboratories all across the country, with a wide range of domains covered (temperature, humidity, pressure, dimensional, ...) and very strong capabilities in torque, force, mass, electrical DC/LF, volume and liquid measurements parameters. Pyrometro employs 168 people, generates a turnover of 15 million Malaysian Ringgit (~3,0 m€) and is mostly active in the Life Sciences sector.
