TRESCAL ACQUIRES SFINT IN FRANCE

Trescal announces the acquisition of SFINT, specialized in temperature measurement.

Founded in 1972 and based in Marolles en Brie (France), SFINT employs 32 people with a sales turnover of 4 million Euros in 2017. The company provides in-house COFRAC accredited calibration services. SFINT also manufactures a wide range of temperature sensors and probes (thermocouples) as well as on-site services, especially furnaces calibration according to the Aerospace Standard AMS 2750E. 

The General Manager, Olivier Garçon, will remain in his current position to pursue the development of the company within Trescal Group.

TRESCAL ANNOUNCES FOUR ACQUISITIONS IN BRAZIL, GERMANY AND THE UNITED STATES

Trescal announces the acquisitions of Vale Balanças, San Jose dos Campos (Brazil); Aicher Kalibrierdienst in Biberach (Germany); Atlas Copco calibration activity in Germany and Massachusetts Metrology in Boston (USA). These acquisitions will add circa €6m turnover to the Group.

Founded in 2009 in Sao Jose dos Campos, Vale Balanças, IPEM accredited, provides calibration and maintenance services for scales up to 80 tons and employs 7 people. The two founders Ademir Pereira and Julio Cesar Moraes will remain with Trescal in their current positions.

Founded in 1997 and based in Biberach, Aicher Kalibrierdienst is a DakkS accredited calibration laboratory specializing in the Life Science industry and employs 10 people. The founder and current CEO, Mr. Aicher, will remain in his current position to develop the Life Science portfolio for Trescal in Germany.

The calibration activity of Atlas Copco is a three laboratories, DakkS accredited, entity which operates from Wetzlar, Kiel and Munich. These one-stop-shop laboratories have good capabilities in electrical and mechanical calibration and employ 36 people for a turnover of €3,5m.

Founded in 1977 and based in the Boston area, Massachusetts Metrology is an A2LA accredited calibration laboratory specializing in temperature and pressure, notably heat treatment according to the AMS 2750E standard for the aerospace industry. Massachusetts Metrology employ 8 people and are active in the aerospace, food and pharmaceuticals industries. Richard Rothstein, the current CEO and owner will remain in his current position to continue the development of Trescal in Massachusetts.

These acquisitions are the 28th, 29th , 30th and 31st acquisitions since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.

- Top salary quartile has 91.7% men and 8.3% women

- Upper middle salary quartile has 94.2% men and 5.8% women

- Lower middle salary quartile has 76.7% men and 23.3% women

- Lower salary quartile has 68.6% men and 31.4% women

- Women’s bonus pay is 60.9% lower (mean) and 65.4% lower (median)

- 11.8% of men and 4.5% of women received bonus pay

TRESCAL TO SHOWCASE CALIBRATION EXPERTISE AT THE SINGAPORE AIRSHOW 2018

Trescal will be showcasing its capabilities in the aerospace sector to major industrial players during the Singapore Airshow from February 6-11, 2018.

Located on Stand ‘E23’ the Trescal team will be on hand to speak with show delegates about its multi-domain skills for the aerospace sector which include: CMM Measurements, Dimensional, Electrical, Flow, Force/Torque, Mass, Pressure/Vacuum, Temperature and Volume.

Visitors to the stand can also learn firsthand about Trescal’s recent investment in Malaysia with the acquisition of Pyrometro bringing 4 additional accredited laboratories to its South East Asia network.

Established in Singapore since 2011, today Trescal can serve its customers through a network of 7 accredited calibration laboratories.

TRESCAL ACQUIRES ASSI SISTEMAS E INSTRUMENTACIÓN S.L. IN SPAIN

Trescal announces the acquisition of ASSI Sistemas e Instrumentación S.L. (ASSI), the Spanish calibration leader for Life Science industries based in Barcelona (Spain). This is the fifth acquisition in Spain and it expands Trescal’s geographical footprint to Catalonia. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 1995, ASSI offers Calibration, Validation, Qualification and Automation services. ASSI has a calibration laboratory in Barcelona, ENAC accredited in: temperature, humidity, pressure, mass, volume, angular velocity, electricity, time & frequency, dimensional and torque. ASSI employs 130 people and generates a turnover of 7,2 million euros.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal Deputy CEO, said: “This acquisition will boost Trescal development within Life Science segment where ASSI has been delivering high added value services for 23 years”.

Josep Maria Cucurella ASSI CEO, said: “Merging a family business within a multinational group is a big challenge. It will ease ASSI access to the marketplace and to new customer segments”.

This acquisition is the twenty-eighth acquisition since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.
