Testimonials of Trescal employees

Hear first hand from our employees about their experience at Trescal.

Enrico Wolf began his career in an “explosive” manner with Weco, Germany’s leading pyrotechnics company, where he discovered his interest in technical engineering. Following his studies, in 2005 he dived into the metrology bath with the MWQ GmbH company, as right hand man to the CEO. This position was ideal to discover the business, allowing him to quickly become Sales Director.  In 2010, with the reorganisation of Trescal in Europe, he was appointed Sales Director of Trescal Germany in addition to his position as IT Director. This dual role proved to be an asset when obtaining contracts requiring the transnational cooperation of Trescal’s teams. “ In a job like ours, it’s important to always expand your knowledge. The responsabilities Trescal gave me enabled me to develop myself professionally in many ways.”

Area Sales Representative

I joined Trescal Ltd in their Stevenage Branch in October 2015, initially as a Customer Service Representative. It soon became clear to me that it is a great place to work because they take care of their employees at every level, which is exemplified by their genuine desire to help all employees perform to the best of their ability. My role soon progressed to an Internal Account Management role where I had the opportunity to, on occasion, get up from behind my desk and visit our customers.

Having these opportunities fueled a fire within me that I wanted to grow within the company and be more customer facing. In November 2017 I approached our Sales Director and my then manager with my intentions and was offered an Area Sales Representative role.

Trescal Ltd are pro-active in their approach to internal promotions, coaching, training and generally improving each and every employee within the group. Business will take care of itself but the relationships I have been able to build and sustain with my clients, peers and colleagues are what ultimately drives the success of this organisation.

Regional Sales Account Manager

Johnny began his career in the metrology world by joining the United States Air Force as a precision measurement equipment laboratory troop right out of high school. He specialized in the RF/Microwave and aircraft test set equipment areas. After a year in a contract lab manager position, Johnny took a position that moved him back home to Cleveland with then Dynamic Technology Inc. (DTI). From 2005 to 2012, he serviced equipment in the RF/Microwave area but also added flow, dimensional and high voltage/high power knowledge to the DTI team.

Shortly after DTI was acquired by Trescal, Johnny transitioned to the position of Sales Account manager for the Trescal Cleveland lab, eventually growing to cover the geographic region including the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Western New York. Johnny has also been instrumental in the application and implementation of the CRM system and processes for Trescal US, all while completing his Master of Business Administration degree.

Johnny is appreciative of the ability to grow within Trescal through solving problems for both internal and external customers. While Johnny’s path may be a bit different in transitioning from an operational to a business related role, it shows that growth within Trescal is available and encouraged, even in a non-traditional route.

Lab Manager

Michael graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone North Carolina in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. After graduation he applied to an open tech 1 position at Calibration Solutions in Cornelius North Carolina a few months after graduating. Upon arrival at CSI he immediately began working both in the lab and onsite at all types of customers. In 2013 he aided in the A2LA assessment that saw an expansion of capabilities added to the scope of accreditation. Through the acquisition of CSI to become part of Trescal he worked in all fields to continue developing skills in all parameters. In 2015 an opportunity to travel to McMurdo station and Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station was offered by Trescal. During the 3-month journey tools for all areas were calibrated 6 days a week for 9 hours a day. This became a launching point for his career leading to a promotion to Lab Manager upon his return to the lab. In 2017 an opportunity for a Program management and Indysoft role became available. Currently he is working with several programs across the US for their calibrations both onsite and resident professional positions as well as working to improve the use of Indysoft at several labs across the U.S.
