LECC’s diversified client portfolio encompasses over 2,000 clients in the transportation, life science, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing industries. It provides a solid foundation for further development in China.

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of Standard Calibration Technology Institute (SCTI) in South Korea, Nordic Service Group (NSG) in Scandinavia, Delta-P Monitoring Technology in Ireland, ASG X-Technologies in Australia, and Integrajaya Calibration Technologies (ICT) in Malaysia. Together, these acquisitions represent €25M in sales. They are the first acquisitions since EQT Infrastructure entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a majority stake in Trescal.

SCTI is one of South Korea’s top 5 largest independent calibration companies, representing over €10M in sales. Thanks to its 100 employees and its broad scope of accreditation, SCTI provides over 200,000 calibrations per year. Its competence in spectrophotometry will complete Trescal’s capabilities in Korea and beyond.

NSG operates five facilities throughout Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, allowing Trescal to penetrate the Finnish market. NSG bolsters Trescal’s single source solution for life sciences, notably by providing planned and preventive maintenance services. Its 70 employees generate €10M in sales.

Delta-P specializes in the life science sector, complementing Trescal’s existing qualification services in Western Europe. Its offer includes cleanroom qualification, HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and HVAC commissioning. It allows Trescal to reach critical size in Ireland with €7M in sales.

ASG X bolsters Trescal’s capabilities and calibration scopes in pressure, electrical, frequency and time. Its wind tunnel adds a new traceable calibration service for Trescal Australia. Though it operates mainly out of Melbourne, ASG X also has close client relationships in Perth, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Tasmania.

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of IKM Laboratorium, part of IKM Group, a leading supplier of the Norwegian energy sector. This acquisition represents 10M€ in sales and 70 employees. As part of the agreement, IKM Group and Trescal have entered into a long-term strategic partnership to continue exclusively serving IKM Group and its clients. Trescal also acquired Metrosenzor in Romania and signed the contract to acquire Metracal in Brazil, for whom final acquisition is expected on October 3rd. Acquisitions since OMERS invested now total 45.

IKM Laboratorium’s acquisition allows Trescal to enter Norway in six locations and reinforce its existing presence in Scandinavia. IKM Laboratorium provides broad accredited calibration and maintenance services in ten domains, with particular expertise in pressure. Beyond their in-house operations, technicians can intervene directly on client offshore platforms.

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of Cincinnati Precision Instruments (CPI) in Ohio, USA, CRT Cleanroom-Technology in Germany and Switzerland and Electronica Industrial de Alverca (EIA) in Portugal. These three companies add €16 million in total sales. Acquisitions since OMERS invested now total 42.

Established in 1962, Cincinnati Precision Instruments provides calibration services in nine accredited domains, with strong capabilities in humidity, hardness and pressure. CPI mainly serves the automotive and aerospace industries. This acquisition allows Trescal to extend its geographic coverage to southern Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

CRT Cleanroom-Technology operates two laboratories in Alsdorf, Germany, and Stein, Switzerland, to provide cleanroom qualification, measurement and calibration services. This acquisition strengthens Trescal’s existing life sciences expertise in Central Europe. CRT Cleanroom-Technology offers extensive capabilities in airborne particle counters, microbial air samplers, thermal process qualification and flow visualization to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients.

Founded in 1989, EIA comprises two accredited laboratories in Lisbon and Porto, serving mainly the life science and food and beverage industries. EIA’s comprehensive set of accreditations expands Trescal’s calibration, testing and legal metrology scopes in the Iberian peninsula. With this acquisition, Trescal becomes the leading provider of calibration and qualification services in Portugal.

The addition of Classic Technology allows Trescal to establish its presence in the Republic of Ireland, the 27th country for the Group. Established in 1997, Classic Technology is one of the largest Irish calibration companies. It specializes in life sciences, especially the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Founded in 1989, CATLab also specializes in the life science sector and offers accreditations in six domains including pressure, vacuum, temperature, humidity and flow. With the addition of its two laboratories, Trescal will now operate from five locations in Virginia and North Carolina, extending its geographic coverage in the American Southeast.

Founded in 1991, Cleanroom Management International operates from five sites to serve a diverse portfolio of life science customers, including leaders in the pharmaceutical sector. It specializes in qualification of cleanrooms, HVAC systems and thermal mapping as well as calibration of particle counters and photometers.

Established in 1983, Aviatronik has two laboratories in Milan and Rome and is accredited in Radio Frequency. It serves 700 clients, particularly in the aerospace and defense industries.

The acquisitions Celemetrix and Mobile Test’n Cal in Australia, SICT in South Korea and Thailand, and Qualcer in Portugal bring an additional 30 M€ of combined sales and 250 talented employees to the Trescal group. 

They reinforce Trescal’s position in Australia and South Korea, while marking Trescal’s entry into Portugal and Thailand. In addition to geographic expansion, the acquisitions will enhance Trescal’s technical expertise, notably through the addition of antenna calibration capability, critical for the telecommunication, aeronautic and defense industries.

With these acquisitions, Trescal is forecasting pro forma sales of 370 M€ for 2021.

Trescal has now undertaken 29 acquisitions since OMERS, one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, invested in 2018.

Paris, January 23rd  2020. Trescal Group, the specialist in calibration services, announces four acquisitions.

Trescal expands its geographical coverage within the Asia-Pacific region with the acquisition of Korea Testing Instruments Calibration Center (KTICC) in South Korea and IPAC Solutions in Australia, broadens its offering in Brazil with Instituto Amazonense de Metrologia (IAM) and adds a 3D contactless measurement capability with the acquisition of Physical Digital in the UK.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal CEO, explains: “These acquisitions reflect our strategy to support our clients around the world and our goal is to triple our size in the APAC countries by 2022 and to continue with the consolidation of the US market.” Since its acquisition by OMERS in April 2018, Trescal Group has made 21 acquisitions to accelerate its international development strategy.

Founded in 1982, KTICC employs 57 people and has a turnover of 5.3 million euros. Based in Seoul and accredited by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, the laboratory has developed expertise in fibre optics, electrical (DC/LF/RF), gas detection, dimensional and temperature.

IPAC Solutions was founded in 1988, employs 41 people across 3 sites (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) and has a turnover of 6.1 million euros. IPAC Solutions services clients from the food and life sciences industries and its main technical fields are temperature, humidity, pressure and flow, mostly carried out on- site. This latest acquisition is complementarity with ACS, the first acquisition made by Trescal in Australia in May 2019, and further strengthens the group’s single-source offering on the Australian market.

The acquisition of IAM, created in 1997 and located in Manaus, solidifies the position of Trescal in the Amazonas State following the acquisition of Setting in June 2019. IAM employs 16 people and has a turnover of 0.5 million euros. It provides in-house and on-site metrology services in seven accredited parameters.

Founded in 2005 in Guildford, Physical Digital specialises in 3D contactless measurement for the automotive, energy and aerospace sectors. It is the first company in the world to be accredited by NADCAP, a project in collaboration with the United States for quality assurance in the aerospace and defence sectors. The company employs 12 people and has a turnover of 1.2 million euros.

Paris, France – September 15, 2022 –

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of IKM Laboratorium, part of IKM Group, a leading supplier of the Norwegian energy sector. This acquisition represents 10M€ in sales and 70 employees. As part of the agreement, IKM Group and Trescal have entered into a long-term strategic partnership to continue exclusively serving IKM Group and its clients. Trescal also acquired Metrosenzor in Romania and signed the contract to acquire Metracal in Brazil, for whom final acquisition is expected on October 3rd. Acquisitions since OMERS invested now total 45.

IKM Laboratorium’s acquisition allows Trescal to enter Norway in six locations and reinforce its existing presence in Scandinavia. IKM Laboratorium provides broad accredited calibration and maintenance services in ten domains, with particular expertise in pressure. Beyond their in-house operations, technicians can intervene directly on client offshore platforms.

Metrosenzor, located in Constanta, allows Trescal to reach a critical size in Romania with 30 additional employees. Its laboratories are Renar accredited in mass and scale and add new capabilities in humidity analysis and liquid volume storage calibration. Dedicated food and beverage services include mobile teams calibrating weighing systems for agricultural containers directly on ships in port.

Located in Sao Paulo, Metracal is the authorized service provider for Fluke electrical products throughout Brazil. Its ten technicians provide accredited electrical calibration and repair services.

Press Release: Trescal acquires three companies to strengthen leadership in Europe and the United States

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of Cincinnati Precision Instruments (CPI) in Ohio, USA, CRT Cleanroom-Technology in Germany and Switzerland and Electronica Industrial de Alverca (EIA) in Portugal. These three companies add €16 million in total sales. Acquisitions since OMERS invested now total 42.

Established in 1962, Cincinnati Precision Instruments provides calibration services in nine accredited domains, with strong capabilities in humidity, hardness and pressure. CPI mainly serves the automotive and aerospace industries. This acquisition allows Trescal to extend its geographic coverage to southern Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

CRT Cleanroom-Technology operates two laboratories in Alsdorf, Germany, and Stein, Switzerland, to provide cleanroom qualification, measurement and calibration services. This acquisition strengthens Trescal’s existing life sciences expertise in Central Europe. CRT Cleanroom-Technology offers extensive capabilities in airborne particle counters, microbial air samplers, thermal process qualification and flow visualization to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients.

Founded in 1989, EIA comprises two accredited laboratories in Lisbon and Porto, serving mainly the life science and food and beverage industries. EIA’s comprehensive set of accreditations expands Trescal’s calibration, testing and legal metrology scopes in the Iberian peninsula. With this acquisition, Trescal becomes the leading provider of calibration and qualification services in Portugal.

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of Classic Technology Ltd in Naas, Republic of Ireland, and CATLab in Virginia and North Carolina, USA. These two companies add €6 million in total sales. They are the 34th and 35th since OMERS invested in April 2018.

The addition of Classic Technology allows Trescal to establish its presence in the Republic of Ireland, the 27th country for the Group. Established in 1997, Classic Technology is one of the largest Irish calibration companies. It specializes in life sciences, especially the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Founded in 1989, CATLab also specializes in the life science sector and offers accreditations in six domains including pressure, vacuum, temperature, humidity and flow. With the addition of its two laboratories, Trescal will now operate from five locations in Virginia and North Carolina, extending its geographic coverage in the American Southeast.

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of Cleanroom Management International (CMI) in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, and Aviatronik in Italy. These two companies add €13 million in total sales and over 100 calibration experts to the Group. The transactions mark Trescal’s seventh and eighth acquisitions this year. They are the 32nd  and 33rd since OMERS invested in April 2018.

Founded in 1991, Cleanroom Management International operates from five sites to serve a diverse portfolio of life science customers, including leaders in the pharmaceutical sector. It specializes in qualification of cleanrooms, HVAC systems and thermal mapping as well as calibration of particle counters and photometers.

Established in 1983, Aviatronik has two laboratories in Milan and Rome and is accredited in Radio Frequency. It serves 700 clients, particularly in the aerospace and defense industries.

These transactions mark Trescal’s fifth and sixth acquisitions this year and they are the 30th and 31st since OMERS – one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, invested in 2018.

Established in 1987, Broadview Instrumentation Services is an A2LA accredited calibration laboratory covering a wide range of domains which will enhance the Group’s local technical offer, especially in flow, to serve more than 1,000 clients in Ohio. Founded in 1991 and based in Melbourne and Adelaide, Sudel Industries’ calibration laboratories provide one-stop-shop calibration services with a special focus in the food and beverage industry.

Press Release: Trescal Acquires Four Companies to Expand Across Three Continents

Paris, France – September 15, 2021 –

Trescal, the global leader in calibration services, announced the acquisition of four companies on three continents since January 2021. The acquisitions Celemetrix and Mobile Test’n Cal in Australia, SICT in South Korea and Thailand, and Qualcer in Portugal bring an additional 30 M€ of combined sales and 250 talented employees to the Trescal group. 

They reinforce Trescal’s position in Australia and South Korea, while marking Trescal’s entry into Portugal and Thailand. In addition to geographic expansion, the acquisitions will enhance Trescal’s technical expertise, notably through the addition of antenna calibration capability, critical for the telecommunication, aeronautic and defense industries.

With these acquisitions, Trescal is forecasting pro forma sales of 370 M€ for 2021.

Trescal has now undertaken 29 acquisitions since OMERS, one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, invested in 2018.

Trescal announces four acquisitions in South Korea, the UK, Australia and Brazil

Paris, January 23rd  2020. Trescal Group, the specialist in calibration services, announces four acquisitions.

Trescal expands its geographical coverage within the Asia-Pacific region with the acquisition of Korea Testing Instruments Calibration Center (KTICC) in South Korea and IPAC Solutions in Australia, broadens its offering in Brazil with Instituto Amazonense de Metrologia (IAM) and adds a 3D contactless measurement capability with the acquisition of Physical Digital in the UK.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal CEO, explains: “These acquisitions reflect our strategy to support our clients around the world and our goal is to triple our size in the APAC countries by 2022 and to continue with the consolidation of the US market.” Since its acquisition by OMERS in April 2018, Trescal Group has made 21 acquisitions to accelerate its international development strategy.

Founded in 1982, KTICC employs 57 people and has a turnover of 5.3 million euros. Based in Seoul and accredited by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, the laboratory has developed expertise in fibre optics, electrical (DC/LF/RF), gas detection, dimensional and temperature.

IPAC Solutions was founded in 1988, employs 41 people across 3 sites (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) and has a turnover of 6.1 million euros. IPAC Solutions services clients from the food and life sciences industries and its main technical fields are temperature, humidity, pressure and flow, mostly carried out on- site. This latest acquisition is complementarity with ACS, the first acquisition made by Trescal in Australia in May 2019, and further strengthens the group’s single-source offering on the Australian market.

The acquisition of IAM, created in 1997 and located in Manaus, solidifies the position of Trescal in the Amazonas State following the acquisition of Setting in June 2019. IAM employs 16 people and has a turnover of 0.5 million euros. It provides in-house and on-site metrology services in seven accredited parameters.

Founded in 2005 in Guildford, Physical Digital specialises in 3D contactless measurement for the automotive, energy and aerospace sectors. It is the first company in the world to be accredited by NADCAP, a project in collaboration with the United States for quality assurance in the aerospace and defence sectors. The company employs 12 people and has a turnover of 1.2 million euros.
