TRESCAL ACQUIRES TECLABOR SERVICES S.L. IN BRAZIL

Trescal announces the acquisition of Teclabor Ltda., a calibration services provider based in Recife (Brazil). This is the third acquisition in Brazil, expanding Trescal’s geographical footprint to the State of Pernambuco. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, Trescal’s majority shareholder.

Founded in 1985, Teclabor is an accredited one-stop-shop calibration laboratory, with strong capabilities in liquid flow, volume, mass (scales), temperature and humidity domains. Teclabor employ 30 people, generating a turnover of 3,3 million Brazilian Reais (~1,0 m€), being predominantly active in the Food & Beverages sector.

With 270 people operating within 8 accredited laboratories (located in Recife, Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Taubaté, Sorocaba, and Porto Alegre) and 12 accredited mobile laboratories deployed across Brazilian territories, bringing us closer to our customers every day.”

This acquisition is the twenty-fifth acquisition since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.

Trescal acquires A+ Métrologie, a subsidiary of the Apave Group

Trescal today announces the acquisition of A+ Métrologie, a subsidiary of the Apave Group, a major player on the French test and measurement market.
 

Founded in 2000, A+ Métrologie has 14 multi-disciplined calibration laboratories spread across France employing 320 people (of which 250 engineers and technicians) and achieved a turnover of € 27 million in 2016.

This acquisition will allow customers of both companies, Trescal and A+ Métrologie, to benefit from many complementary features: broader offer of accredited calibration services, more extensive measurement capabilities and a greater geographical coverage.

 

This acquisition was carried out with the support of ARDIAN, an independent private investment company and majority shareholder of the Trescal Group. It is the 24th acquisition since ARDIAN ownership in July 2013.

Trescal acquires Pyrometro Services S.B. in Malaysia

Trescal announces the acquisition of Pyrometro Services S.B. (Pyrometro), a calibration services provider based in Malaysia. This first step in Malaysia expands Trescal’s geographical footprint and technical coverage in South East Asia. This acquisition has been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 1992 in Kuala Lumpur, Pyrometro is a Malaysian one-stop-shop calibration company comprising four accredited laboratories all across the country, with strong capabilities in electrical (electro-magnetism), torque, hardness and temperature domains. Pyrometro employs 168 people, generates a turnover of 15 million Malaysian Ringgit (~3,0 m€) and is mostly active in the Life Sciences sector.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal Deputy CEO, said: “We are delighted to continue our Asian external growth strategy with Pyrometro and its excellent management team, Mrs. Cindy Tan and Mr. Teo. Trescal, partner of the Aeronautics and Space industry, to take part in the 2017 International Paris Air Show

Trescal continues to strengthen its position at the heart of the aerospace and defence markets through new and existing partnerships. Representing over € 10 million per year, the business segment represents approximately 45 per cent of Trescal sales – highlighting the importance of the Paris Air Show to the Group.

Thanks to its global "One-Stop-Shop" offering in calibration services and its proven expertise in calibration management, the Group is able to guarantee a high level of quality and consolidate its unmatched position in the global market.

Trescal group participates in numerous aeronautical trade shows around the world (Bourget, Farnborough, Berlin, Marrakech, Singapore) and participates in many of the shows with its Starduster SA300 Trescal biplane.

Returning from its partnership mission with the Patrouille de France in the USA and Canada, the Trescal plane will once again take to the skies at the Paris Show, performing aerobatic demonstrations during the air show. Trescal pursues its strategy of supporting its clients where they are established through  acquisitions, industrial investments and the creation of new laboratories in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.

Trescal acquires Acucal Inc. in the USA

Trescal is proud to announce the acquisition of Acucal Inc., a leading calibration services provider present in Virginia, North Carolina, Arizona and Hawaii, USA.
This transaction consolidates Trescal's geographical footprint and technical coverage in the United States and has been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, Acucal is A2LA-accredited and has strong technical skills in DC / Low Frequency and RF / Microwave. Besides its four laboratories, the company also operates through a fleet of six state-of-the-art mobile laboratories throughout the country. With a turnover of around $ 5.3 million, the company employs 40 people and is mostly active in the Electronics, Aeronautics and Defense sectors.
Acucal's founder and managing director, Thomas Efaw, will remain in his current position and will report to Kathy Boyd, Trescal Inc. President.

With this acquisition, Trescal's network will include 20 laboratories in the US, with 450 employees. It is the 22nd acquisition since Ardian takeover in July 2013.
