After Trescal acquired the company I was working for, I joined their team at the Antwerp laboratory. My specialty is repairing mechanical devices. While at the Antwerp laboratory, I received training in various technical domains, which gave me the expertise to train my colleagues in anemometry and pressure calibration effectively.

I greatly appreciate the collaborative work environment at Trescal. I work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds across multiple laboratories in Belgium and globally, which has been rewarding and enriching.

There are great people in every single department, and it is a pleasure for me to work with them

I started my professional journey at a small calibration laboratory in England before working for Trescal in England, Malta and Spain. Choosing Trescal was a deliberate decision driven by my aspiration to expand my skills in various domains within a multinational organization.

I had the opportunity to oversee Malta’s calibration lab, integrated into one of our customer’s facilities, gaining valuable management experience in the process. I find fulfilment in my work, particularly appreciating the welcoming atmosphere of the Bilbao laboratory.

CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN II (USA)

The fact that many of my co-workers are also prior service is a nice touch, we all “get it”

I began my calibration profession in the US Navy. After serving for eight years, I left the Navy but was still figuring out my career path. Given my longstanding interest in mechanics, I took up a job as a mechanic at a truck stop. However, as it turned out, mechanics was more of a hobby than a career for me. That’s when I made the decision to join Trescal in Charlotte, as a Calibration Technician II.

Recently I helped implement a new automated primary pressure standard at the Charlotte laboratory which allowed the lab to provide higher accuracy calibrations and decrease turnaround time for all of our customers. I thoroughly enjoy working in a dynamic environment, where I have opportunities to acquire diverse skills and knowledge. In addition, working with my colleagues has been a valuable experience, surpassing my expectations.

Meeting people from around the world has made my day-to-day work more interesting

I began my career as a metrology specialist in Peru and have accumulated more than seven years of experience in metrology in various physical quantities. I am fascinated by metrology and science in general as a means to explain natural phenomena. I later moved to Canada, where I found a role in as Calibration Technician for Trescal.

The diverse work environment at Trescal enriches my daily life, and working alongside my colleagues as a cohesive team has proven to be a rewarding experience. I appreciate being part of a dynamic team with great companionship and empathy. I am thankful for the numerous opportunities for professional development, which have contributed significantly to my growth and expertise in the field.

My experience with Trescal has been very positive, with the laboratory benefiting from investments such as a new Laser Measurement System and Humidity Chamber

I earned my degree in Electronics Engineering before starting my calibration career. I honed my skills in various technical areas including Electrical, Dimensional, Temperature, Pressure, Mass and Mechanical domains. In 2017, the acquisition of a company I worked for marked the beginning of my journey with Trescal.

One of my most significant achievements was playing a pivotal role in establishing a field calibration program for material testing machines, service and repair, customer support, and software training. This initiative stands as one of the company’s most robust programs, contributing significantly to attracting new customers.

I’m eagerly anticipating the future at Trescal and am excited about the multitude of projects that lie ahead.

I’m thankful for the support I received during my traineeship, which played a crucial role in my professional growth. My colleagues guided me through numerous challenges and bolstered my academic and professional accomplishments.
